It is completely traversed by the chain of Lattari, home to a regional park, and ends (shortly after Sant'Agata sui Due Golfi) with Punta Campanella, opposite the island of Capri, which is its ideal extension. A few kilometers south of the peninsula, lays the Archipelago dei Galli, a group of three islands, mostly uninhabited. All places of the peninsula have an ancient and well-established vocation for tourism and are famous worldwide for their natural beauty. Citrus, olives, grapevines and nuts has largely replaced the original vegetation. Some roads of high scenic interest, such as 163 SS Amalfi Coast, grow halfway up or clamber up on the mountains of the interior. Main economic resources are agriculture and tourism, which has the main reason of attraction in the landscape.
